With the love of dance in her heart, Akshita started her journey as a Professional Dancer & Choreographer in the year 2014. She trained herself with utmost diligence in Jazz, Ballet & Contemporary and took interest in various other dance forms making herself a versatile dancer. After gaining the right amount of training and dance education, she decided to use her skills as a dancer and performed in various events. After being in this Industry for a few years, Akshita realized the harsh reality of “Dance as a Profession” she witnessed the indignified treatment of artists in terms of money and respect, the lack of opportunities despite the abundance of talent. In India, Dance as a profession is still a big question and thus, she founded “On Pointè” , a place where everyone can dance, every artist is respected and financially secure. Where dance is not just a dream, but a reality. Where there is no scope of excuse but joy, love, peace and happiness.

Her love for dance never stopped her love for knowledge and so, she continued to be a student forever. Post her graduation, Akshita was given a hard choice to either dance or study, But this was not a choice she was willing to take and Thus, she chose Both!
Today, she can be called as a “Dancing Lawyer”.

Akshita is a free spirited soul and celebrates life everyday. Thus, she has a vision to make On Pointè much more than a company, a home to many. She started this journey and now she is moving forward to building a home with every soul that comes through.
